Above an overview map of the race course.

The competition venue is a cross-country specific site adjacent to one of Canada’s most recognized tourist attractions, Old Fort Henry. The venue is located on the shores of Lake Ontario overlooking Fort Henry, the Royal Military College and Downtown Kingston.  Ample parking for spectators and officials is located adjacent to the course.  The course has been the site of several provincial and national championships since 1996.

With its rolling hills and grass surface, this course is one of the most spectator friendly in the world and will provide an incredible atmosphere for the athletes.  Picture running down a corridor lined with thousands of passionate fans and you have the Fort Henry Course.  Each year, over 6,000 athletes compete on the course and it has quickly become the venue of choice for many recreational joggers.  On a nice day the ground can be firm and the course fast, but as anyone who has competed on the course will tell you, the weather can turn it into a beast.  Competing on the course in April will be a test without question!
