Coordinating all the Medical for the 17th World University Cross Country Championships is Dave Ross.  Dave recently retired from being the Coordinator of Athletic Therapy Services at Queen’s University and now serves as an adjunct instructor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies and head therapist for football and soccer at Queen’s. Dave graduated from York University in 1975 with a Physical Education degree and from Indiana State University in 1977 with a Master’s degree, specializing in Athletic Therapy.  Before coming to Queen’s, he was the Head Therapist for the Hamilton Tiger Cats from 1978 to 1980. He has also worked at 1976 Summer Olympics, 1980 and 1992 Winter Olympics, and the 1991 Pan American Games. In June 2005, he was inducted into the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association Hall of Fame for lifetime contributions and professional leadership in the field of Athletic Therapy.

Dave has assembles a team of health professionals to assist in handling any medical issues that may arise during the event.
