G’day

I am looking forward to meeting you all when you arrive in Kingston.  Yes I am an Aussie, but I have made my home here in Kingston and at Queen’s for the last 2.5 years.  Like me, I am sure you are going to enjoy your time here and this fabulous city and country.

You will be pleased to know that the weather in April is usually very pleasant but can be unpredictable.  Spring is an awesome time here as we realize there is life after the cold winter chills, so pack accordingly.

From now until you arrive it is important that we get as much information from you as possible, so that we can make your stay worry free.  I will be making requests of you from time to time (outside the official forms) by way of newsletters to assist in our planning.

In the hotels we will set up an information desk, which will be serviced at certain times each day.  The information will remain available at all times throughout the duration of your stay.

Whether your transport to the event concludes at Toronto airport or Kingston, there will be someone (and a bus) to meet you.  Yup, wouldn’t want anyone to get lost!  You will then be transported to your hotel to check in and get settled.

Our volunteers are looking forward to meeting you.  Until then, keep up the training and see you in April!
